Okay. Here's the thing. I'm busy okay? I have this far off dream...that I will start having kids, get to stay at home, blog, and obsess over other blogs.(also, take care of my children and such) However, I.don't.have.the.time.these.days. Life is great though! Here is a quick update on our fabulous life together :)
March: went on a cruise with my family! (wow. that was FOREVER ago) We had such a blast in Mexico, and we loved having the whole week off together!
April: My friends Ray and Ingrid had their baby! Little Nathan is my psuedo-nephew, but I love him just like he's actually a part of my family! I love them so much and love spending time with them!
May: celebrated our 1 year anni! We spent a long weekend in Cali, where I scored us an AWESOME deal on priceline (I am my mother's daughter) and we got to stay in a resort! Super fun. I love being married to Cody, he is my very best friend and I am so grateful for what we have experienced so far!
June: We got to go up to Pinetop for a weekend to be with Cody's family for our first annual Remington reunion! I love my in-law family!!
My parents opened thrive! I LOVE THAT PLACE. oh.my.gosh. Greatest and healthiest addiction ever! for more info visit facebook.com/eatthriveprosper :)
Brittney and Tyson GOT MARRIED! WOO! I love those guys, and I am so glad Tyson is a part of our family now!
July: Cody and I became Aunt and Uncle to baby Zane! My sister-in-law Dollie and her hubby Ryan are now parents to the first grandbaby on the Remington side. He is SO handsome, and Cody and I volunteered to babysit him tomorrow! (squeal!) I also got to take some time off to spend with friends and family :) also, my bestie Rebecca got home from her mission!! I have missed her SO much! She's leaving me soon to go to BYU (laaaame) but I am so grateful to have gotten a little bit of time with her :)
August: School has started! I love our new schedule! The day goes by so fast, and I love every minute of it! I feel like we are doing so much more for our kiddos this year, they are all doing so great!
My mom and I got to drive up to Provo to help Brittney and Tyson move in, what a blast! I loved spending that time with my mom, and loved seeing some old friends, it had been forever!
So that was definitely a readers digest version, obviously our lives are more crazy and exciting! But my lunch is over. So, until next time...stay classy peeps!

Okay so its been a while. Like almost 7 months a while. Woops! I need to be better. And I will be!
I have a few minutes at lunch so I figured I would post an update for all 7 of my AVID followers haha. Cody and I have now been married for over 8 months! Crazy! We are coming up on a YEAR! Being married is absolutely wonderful. I am loving being a wife and exploring my crafty and domestic side. In fact, tonight, I will be crafting with none other than my little sis, Kenna. Gonna be some good times. I gotta figure out my mom's sewing machine so I can inherit it, since she won't let me take it to my apartment to use. Wish me luck! Anyway. What's new? I have taken on a few more hours with some girls that go to the school where I work. They are twin 6yr olds, and I just love them to death! We have so much fun together, and I love knowing that I am helping them to progress, and it's nice to know that Mom appreciates the help. Love those girls.
Cody started at ATI (AmericanTech Industry) in late December, and is working as Warehouse Manager there. He enjoys being able to associate with new people, and is glad that his job is one that he doesn't hate haha. We both are certainly blessed that way.
So what else is new? Not much. We are so blessed, in so many ways. I love being close to our families. I have started to spend more time with my sisters when Cody is at meetings and such. I love spending time with them! We always have such a blast. I am so blessed to have them nearby, and blessed that we all have such a good relationship. I love you Kenna and Britt! And Halle of course :)
My family's dog had PUPPPPPIES! They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute! They were born Friday morning. Tink, the black lab mom, had 15 puppies!! Unfortunately, only 11 survived. But they are seriously adorable! The dad is Copper, our bloodhound. They are seriously so precious, despite many people being worried about the mix of the two breeds. Can't wait til they open their eyes and get even cuter!!
Okay. Break is over. But bottom line, life is awesome!! I love it.

married.
okay, okay its been a while alright? i'm SORRY! newlywed life is busy! but we love it :) its amazing being able to spend all this time with my best friend! especially knowing that i'll get to spend eternity with him. we have loved spending all this time together, and love talking about goals and all the growing and learning we will do together. what an amazing plan our Heavenly Father has! i love attending the temple and learning more and more about it. the best part is, i get to be there with my wonderful hubby!
this summer has been crazy! obviously after getting married May 22, we took off on our honeymoon to Dana Point CA. it was soooo beautiful and we had such a good time! we spent alot of time just relaxing, and got to spend a day at 6 flags! such a blast. i am guilty to admit that i did not take many pictures...sorry :/ another confession: i haven't even finished putting everything in its 'place' so even if i did take a lot of pictures, i couldn't put them up for i have no idea where the cord is that conect my camera to the computer. fabulous. anyway! after the honeymoon, we came home and got right back into reality= me working at LIFE and cody doing some work with his dad when he can. then for the 4th we went to joe's valley for the olsen family reunion. we go every other summer with all the descendents of my great-great-grandpa. so that comes out to a few hundred people usually! crazy, but super fun. when i was younger, i dreamed of taking my future hubby there and taking him on a tour of the beautiful land of joe's valley and reliving all my memories with him there. what a fun adventure we had! i loved having Cody there, and he fit right in with my super awesome family :) now its back to the ol' grind, or nose to the grind, or whatever the saying is. basically, we work haha.
i'm going to be getting a new calling in my church this next week, it is going to keep me so busy! i've been looking for more meaning in life, and let me just say: be careful what you pray for! haha it'll be so great and i am so excited and also nervous at the same time! i'll wait to post it, since its not official yet. but i will post it soon!
i love cooking. i'm no chef, (yet!!) but i do love to cook and create! it definitely helps that Cody has liked everything i've made so far. but i do need more ideas! so if anyone has any...pass them on :)
i looooooooooooooooove being married! i love being a wife, and i love having a hubby. wonderful how those three fit together eh? we have so much fun just spending time with each other. its just the greatest thing! i love my best friend :)
okay that's gonna have to be enough for now, i gots things to do!

Reception/wedding info
On our invitations that we sent out we didn't have a ton of printing space, we liked the pictures more than words! haha but anyway, here's all the info:
Cody and I are registered at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Poppy's. Please make sure you spell my name right (Erika with a k!), or you might buy the wrong presents! ;)
Parking: The reception is at my house, 2599 E. Houston Ave Gilbert AZ 85234
However, there is not room on the street for everyone to park, it would be a mess! There is a church, Spirit of Joy, at the end of my street, with a parking lot. That is where everyone will be asked to park. You can't miss it, its practically where you turn in to get to my house. There will be someone directing you. Also, we will have 5 cars shuttling everyone back and forth starting before the reception, and going until everyone is gone. (if anyone is interested in to help shuttle, even if in shifts of 1 1/2 hours then please contact me or Cody, we would love you forever!!)
If it does rain (lets be honest with ourselves+May in AZ here) then the reception will be held at the Quinn Building Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Guadalupe in between Greenfield and Higley in Gilbert. That address is:
2700 East Guadalupe Road
Gilbert, AZ 85234
I think that's about it for necessary info! Don't forget where to park! We can't wait to share our special and fantabulistic day with you!!!

I'm sorry I'm not a super blogger (cough cough K-Bunch) but I am trying my bestest while living the life of an engaged SPACECASE ;) so, i'm sorry i haven't kept up. but i need a break from typing addresses. so...
things I've learned this week:
-wedding registry is harder than it appears or sounds(and i LOVE shopping, so that shocked me)
-its also much more TIRING than you think it might be
-tracking down people for addresses is also harder than it sounds
-anything and everything that has to do with planning a wedding is harder than it sounds
-throwing away a 13-gal garbage bag over your head while holding 2.7 million other things=fat lip
-reminiscing about how we fell in love while sitting on the hood of my car with Cody=new fav thing
-butterflies mate. like MATE mate. even while living in a classroom with 6 little boys. terrible.
-Aussie's Cleanse and Mend shampoo is AWESOME. thanks for less greasy hair!
(warning:this next statement will be mushy and gushy)
-My love for Cody grows everyday, and everyday it amazes me because I never think I can love him any more than i already do! he is my very best friend and I am so blessed to have him in my life :)
Okay that's enough learning. People keep asking me how I am. I have no idea how to answer because sometimes I know they're really meaning to ask "how is planning going?" and to be honest, its a little bit stressful to plan a wedding in 8 weeks. yup. 8 weeks. BUT, I am SO EXCITED and things are coming together SO WELL! I am so grateful for all the people in my life that are making this possible. Especially my mom. She has been so great and patient. I'm very happy that we are still friends through this crazy time :) love you Mom!
Engagement pictures=major success! Jacque Weech, aka very awesome amazing friend, took our pictures and i am SO HAPPY with them! she did SUCH a great job! Here's a few favorites:
So those are a few of our favorites! She did so fabulously!! She is so great :)
Its really weird to think about not living at my house. And not only that, but I'll be in my own place with Cody! I am so excited for us to start our lives together :)Our apartment complex is really nice, and I love the floor plan! and stackable washer/dryer! i mean, who could ask for more? :)it'll be so great! we'll be on our own, but still in the same zip code with both our families!
all in all, times are crazy, but i wouldn't change them for anything :) however, having little elves that did stuff for me would be pretty cool. okay, dreaming is over. back to reality. which is okay, cuz I LOVE MY LIFE :)

ENGAGED!!!
okay this blog thing is new to me, so be patient with me as I really figure it out :)
tis official! i'm going to be a Remington!! woot woot! here's the story :)
We'd been planning things for our May 22nd wedding already (yes we did things a bit backwards, but we're on track now!) and we were kind of to a point where we needed to make things official before we could continue. People kept bothering Cody about it (sorry baby!) but little did everyone (including me) know, my GORGEOUS AMAZING FANTASTIC ring was being set! and it took 10 days after he paid for it to actually be set! so he played along while I dragged him around to other jewelry places, knowing all along that the ring that I absolutely loved was already waiting for me!! ahhhh he's so great :) anyway! Yesterday, Monday March 29, 2010, he came out to my work to take me to lunch. He was trying to find my classroom to come pick me up, and we saw him wandering around with a dozen white roses!! adorable! and he looked pretty dang great, I'll add that in ;) so we went to lunch at Rubio's (I looked like an absolute GOOF with a concrete smile plastered on my face!) and I knew something was up. In the car, (where we usually hold hands anyway) he was holding my hand and just kept playing with my left ring finger. uhhh hint! flowers, lunch (which had only happened one other time since we both work during the day) he was playing with my finger, and we had 'plans' that night for dinner. so naturally, I told my mom that I was going to be proposed to that night! She wondered how I could be sure, but I just knew he was trying to hint at it. He texted me and asked me to bring my swimming suit, which usually means we're going to go to his sisters' apartment for that hot tub. After he picked me up, he told me that we had to go to his sisters' to pick up the key to the pool first. When we got there, he unlocked the door, and then started to kiss me. Obviously, my eyes were closed as he began to carry out his plan! He walked me in while kissing me, got me right where I needed to be, and said, "what is that?" which caused me to look up right as he was pulling on a sheet thatthen dropped who knows how many balloons! by the time I recovered from the balloons, he was on his knee! with the ring I only DREAMED OF! my first natural reaction was "OH MY GOSH!!" and to start bawling (luckily enough, he knows me well enough to expect that) as he said "Erika, I love you. Will you marry me?" I shrieked "yes!!!" and he got up and kissed me and hugged me :) after recovering from the shock, (and staring at my new FAVORITE piece of jewelry) I took a look around and realized the night was only beginning! He had FILLED his sisters' apartment with balloons, doily hearts, and heart confetti. Some of the balloons had nothing on them, but some said a few words such as:
I <3 my best friend Erika
Goin to the temple...gonna get married!
I <3 u always+forever
Be mine forever?!
and there were a ton of balloons (the ones that fell from the ceiling) that said MARRY ME!
etc :)
there was a little table with candles and settings for two, and he had the food all ready. I cleaned my face up and we ate our delicious dinner, then cleaned everything up (including 30 mins of vacuuming up the heart confetti) because we felt bad leaving a mess. Then we spent about 15 mins in the lukewarm (aka NOT hot) hot tub eating our dessert (YUM!) and then got ready to spread the word :) of course, everyone was SO ecstatic!!!
We are getting married May 22 in the Mesa Arizona temple, and our reception will be that night at my house from like 7-9. We can't wait to share our special day with all of youuu!!
I have no idea how to post pictures, but I'm gonna learn right now so I can show you a bit of our night! :)
